|Welcome to the website of the State Institute for Drug Control (SIDC) created for the Slovak EU Presidency. The website was set up to provide up to date information on the EU conferences held in the Slovak Republic. The website was created for the delegates attending meetings hosted by SIDC in the second half of 2016. The purpose of the website is to simplify the registration process, the accommodation arrangements and to keep all important information and documentation accessible in one place.
The collaboration of the Trio Presidency countries made up of Netherlands, Slovakia and Malta has led to this initiative. The common website was available during the Dutch Presidency and it will continue during the Malta´s Presidency as well. This is the first instance when the EU national competent authorities (NCAs) agreed on one common website for the duration of the EU Presidency.
NCAs are responsible for hosting both the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Heads of Medicines Agency (HMA) meetings. This is done at the level of EMA and HMA committees and working groups. Due to the Slovak Republic is being a small country and economic resources not allowing to host all the meetings, SIDC has made the decision to host the seven meetings outlined in a table below:
The conferences hosted by SIDC will take place in both governmental and some commercial premises in Bratislava, the capital of the Slovak Republic. The delegates can find more information on the website after logging in and navigating to the CALENDAR section.
In order to ensure that all presidential meetings take place, the SIDC kindly asked other NCAs to help to organize other remaining meetings. We are pleased to inform all the delegates that remaining presidential meetings will be hosted by the below mentioned NCAs during the Slovak Presidency:
